Sweepr is made by one person. Write to hruts.david@gmail.com and you will reach that person, usually within a day or two. Before you do, the answer may be below.
Write with these details and it gets fixed faster
- Your device and iOS version, from Settings, General, About.
- The Sweepr version, at the bottom of the Settings tab in the app.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if there is anything to see.
The four things people write about most
Deletion does nothing
Sweepr was given limited photo access rather than full access. With limited access iOS lets an app see the photos you picked but refuses every deletion without an error. Open Settings, Apps, Sweepr, Photos, and choose Full Access.
A photo would not compress
Sweepr refuses when the saving would be under ten percent, and says so. That happens most often with photos already stored as HEIC at a high quality setting, where there is genuinely nothing left to win. It is working as intended.
I want my original back
Open the Photos app, go to Albums, Recently Deleted, and recover it. iOS keeps originals there for thirty days after Sweepr moves them.
I paid and Pro is not on
Open Sweepr, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account you bought with. If that does not do it, write with the date of purchase and the storefront.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. To stop a subscription renewing, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Everything else
The eleven questions people ask most, with their answers, live on the home page: what compression actually does to a file, what happens to the original, when Sweepr will not free up much space, whether it finds duplicates, and what it costs. They are kept in one place so the two copies cannot drift apart.
